No. 11 [2021] Important Reminder of Epidemic Prevention and Control in Suzhou

Multiple provinces and autonomous regions, including Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Guizhou, Hunan, etc., have reported COVID-19 cases recently. Many provinces are involved and the chain of transmission has yet to be confirmed. To effectively guard against imported cases, this reminder hereby specifies the followings: 

1. The following four categories of people who are coming or returning to Suzhou should report to their residing communities (villages) and employers (or hotels they are staying at) within 12 hours after arriving in the city, and proactively cooperate with such prevention and control measures as health monitoring, nucleic acid testing, etc.
(1) Those coming or returning to Suzhou from Ejin Banner, Alxa League in Inner Mongolia since October 3;
(2) Those coming or returning to Suzhou from any of the following cities(regions) including Alxa League in Inner Mongolia, Jiayuguan and Zhangye in Gansu, and Xi’an in Shaanxi since October 9;
(3) Those coming or returning to Suzhou from such key areas as Lanzhou in Gansu, Yinchuan and Wuzhong in Ningxia, Changsha in Hunan, Zunyi in Guizhou, Fengtai in Beijing, etc. since October 15;
(4) Those with abnormal health codes (yellow or red in color). 

2. Inbound travelers and travelers who are coming or returning to Suzhou from medium-risk or high-risk areas should be subject to strict medical observation at designated places and closed-loop management. 

3. Please avoid unnecessary trips to the aforementioned areas recently. In case of essential trips, please report to your residing communities (villages) and employers in advance, follow personal protection measures, and cooperate with management measures as required after returning to Suzhou. 

4. We call on all citizens to continue wearing masks, practicing social distance and maintaining personal hygiene. If you find symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, etc., please take good self-protective measures, avoid using public transport, and seek treatment at the nearest fever clinic as soon as possible. Keep abreast of official information from authoritative source, and actively coordinate with epidemic prevention and control.

All the aforementioned measures are subject to relevant national and provincial requirements should there be any.
